Proposing a new component or kit
- Before contributing, check the existing UI Kits and Dialtone components to see if there is already a kit or component that serves the same function.
- Reach out to the team in the
#dialpad-uikitsand#dialtonechannels to get the conversation started -- we'd love to hear about your idea and help with the process. - Create a Jira ticket within the Dialpad (DP) project, select “Dialtone | UI Kits” as the component, and include designs, kit and component information, reasoning, and the team or individuals who will act as maintainers.
- Open a pull request in the Dialpad UI Kits repository. All new UI Kits components are expected to follow the design and coding guidelines.
Improvements and bug fixes
- Reach out to the codeowners to discuss contributing an improvement or bug fix for a specific kit or component. If you're unsure who to contact, please reach out in the
#dialpad-uikitschannel. - Open a pull request in the Dialpad UI Kits repository. Please check that your changes follow the design and coding guidelines as outlined in the contributing guide.
Feature requests and bug reports
If you find a bug or have a feature request, please reach out and let us know in the Dialpad app #dialpad-uikits or #dialtone channels.
